Seven

I can't believe my baby turned seven this weekend ! Where did time go? Her hands are no longer small and pudgy, her toes no longer look like little pillows, and her front teeth are missing, a true passage of turning seven. We celebrated with a party the day before her birthday. Lots of fun and lots of noise. It's amazing how loud seven year olds can be! I made a Frozen Drumstick Cake and will include the recipe. Some kids liked it, some did not. The day of her birthday we planned a trip to the Vancouver Aquarium, but postponed it to this coming weekend, because of road closures for the Vancouver Marathon.(we needed to get back in time for a baseball game) We did, however, go for a walk to get some yummy gelato. In all it was a great birthday weekend!

We had a Mural station.

A Craft Station, Lady Bug magnets out of fun foam.

Finally some Gelato, Raspberry, Raspberry Yogurt, Lemon, Bailey's, and Coffee.

Frozen Drumstick Cake: Bottom, 1 large bag of peanut butter chip cookies(crushed), 2tbsp. melted butter, 2 tbsp. peanut butter, mix together and spread in a 9x13 pan, reserve some for topping. Filling, 1 large cream cheese, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 tsp. vanilla, 1/2 cup peanut butter, 1 large cool whip, chocolate syrup. Beat cream cheese, add next 3 ingredients beating well after each. Fold in cool whip. Spread on crust. Drizzle chocolate and sprinkle with crumbs. Put in freezer until set. I made the letters by placing melted chocolate in a plastic sandwich bag, snipped a hole, squeezed the the letters on to a waxed papered cookie sheet, and placed in the freezer.
