Ten years ago this past weekend, our little family moved from a northern Ontario town, all away across the country to British Columbia. Well, first my husband was out here for three months, and then the kids (there were only two then, now there are three) and I arrived. Hence we had a little celebration with a cake to mark the event! It's hard to believe how quickly the last ten years have flown by!
My husband and I went into Vancouver to pick up some Olympic event tickets, and boy is the city ever buzzing with excitement! We can hardly wait for the big event to start and be part of it in our own small way. The ticket office is located in
Robson Square which has an out door skating rink. There was a huge crowd gathered around.....it was because Elizabeth Manley and
Katarina Witt (1988 Olympics) were making a special appearance...how cool is that?!
Well hope you have an enjoyable week....the Olympic torch is coming through or town on the 9
th, so hopefully I can get a picture of it.....Cheers!
There are sure signs of spring around here, flowers blooming in the garden, trees blossoming, and warm temperatures. The Olympics are occupying most of our time, with watching events on TV, or attending events downtown. The buzz downtown is crazy...a good crazy!!
We went for a walk down to the beach to get some gelato on this fantastic sunny Sunday.

This is a picture of cupcakes that were made by Natalie last year. She made some for this year, but we ate them up so quickly, while watching the Olympics, (we've become Olympic junkies) that I never got a picture of them! We have tickets to some events, Curling, Ice Dance, and a semi-final Hockey game (Canada pool), but we are also trying to visit as many cultural Pavilions as we can. We spent most of today in downtown Vancouver enjoying all sorts of events, and of course taking pictures!
